Supersweet varieties provide higher naturally occurring sugar, and/or crisper texture typical for the variety. These varieties may be slightly darker in color, and some varieties have a slightly tougher pericarp than conventional sweet corn. The product is packed in hermetically sealed cans containers and sufficiently processed by heat to assure preservation.
